The problem with our last announcement was that too many people believed it.  So now we’re forced to push back an extra week.

Actually we’re abjectly apologetic – we felt bad enough pushing back 5.1 the first time, so there will be some serious crying-into-the-morning donuts over the fact that we just need a few more days to get ourselves spruced up and ready for inspection.  We have some great stories to share with you, so we beg your pardon (authors and readers alike) and hope you’ll check back with us on September 7, when the issue goes live, for real this time, no foolies.

(We have this rule about postponing an issue three times that involves the voluntary loss of digits, starting with the pinky.  It seemed perfectly reasonable at the time.)
